Article Marketing For Targeted Traffic.

Yes, you can generate lots of traffic with Article marketing. But there are a few things you need to do to get it just right. But, first let’s set the scene.
Let’s say you want to sell an Article Marketing Course. Let’s also say that you have the course up on a website ready to go.
Article marketing is part of Internet Marketing (IM) and the most important concept in IM is Traffic + Conversion = Sales. I don’t mean to get too basic, but…
Conversion is converting a “looker” (traffic) to a buyer. A good salespage can do that.
But wait…the salespage needs traffic.
But it can’t just be any old traffic. It has to be traffic that is specifically looking for what you have.
In other words targeted traffic.
It’s the old “Get a good offer in front of the right eyeballs and you got ‘er going…if you got enough eyeballs.”
Back to how it works.
If an article is constructed correctly and placed on article directories such as Ezinearticles, it will get picked up by Google and others and offered up in the SERP’s. (Search Engine Page Results.)  Google loves relevancy more than anything, so here are the things to do to insure relevancy.
There is a concept I call the “relevancy chain”.
A searcher (potential customer) types “Article Marketing” into Google. The search results for Article Marketing may well include your article you submitted to Ezinearticles about Article Marketing.
The resource box (about the author) points the customer (link) to right where you want them (your webpage offer called “Article Marketing for Targeted Traffic.”) for example.
This is a hot concept. Article Distribution Sites like Ezineartcles and GoArticles are searched by the millions. So, insert an article that sorts out those people that would be willing to buy what you have to sell. Simple, right? Yes! Sort of…
What I wanted to do here was present a picture of article marketing that hadn’t been seen before, in an attempt to simplify the process. So I’m going to repeat it. It’s worth it.
1. Write a good (optimized) article.
2. Google will serve it up to people looking for the content you put in your article.
3. The article drives the traffic to exactly where you want them. I prefer a salespage selling a product tailored specifically for these searchers. (high conversion rates)
If the article content pretty much matches up to the salespage content the relevancy chain will not be broken because the targeted traffic was looking for just that!
This article was optimized for Article Marketing and Targeted Traffic. And check this out…That’s very close to what you typed in when searching!
To see the other article that goes with this and to see the special page on the blog that details how this whole Article Marketing + Targeted Traffic project translates into sales of article marketing tutorials you just need to hit the link at the bottom of the page. We’ll see you there!
I hope this helps. It helped me. I can vouch for it.

Article Marketing Does Not Work

Article marketing is the lowest form of SEO for a number of reasons, while many people will disagree with what I’m writing, the fact of the matter is that there are much better ways to obtain backlinks and the backlinks obtained will deliver much better results.
The primary reason so many people write articles today is to create backlinks to their websites or the websites they are optimising for clients.
This does work to a degree; however, it is really the lowest form of backlink you can obtain.
Search Engines base the way they rank a website on a number of factors, the first on the content the site has available and the second on how relevant the site may be.
If a site has many backlinks, search engines “Think” the site has a high relevancy and will rank it highly.
Unfortunately, many people doing SEO think that this all they have to do get their website to the top of the search engines is to obain as many backlinks as possible.
When they don’t see the results they expected they are flummoxed and can’t understand why their SEO efforts are not working.
The reason why this does not work is because search engines know that the backlinks are not of any quality and will not put any value on them when ranking a website.
Thus, the site will not rank highly.
To put it bluntly, article backlinks are in the most part rubbish, and hardly count for anything. Period.
To achieve a good raking in the Search Engine results you would need to write thousands and thousands of articles, if this was your main way of gaining backlinks.
There are much better ways of obtaining backlinks while trying to do SEO.
The most effective form of SEO is Viral Marketing also know as link baiting, this involves people linking to your website usually through their blogs.
The benefit of link baiting is that once it gets some momentum it will grow itself as opposed to writing articles and submitting them to say ten article directories.
While your article directories will only give you ten backlinks, people blogging about your site and the word spreading may give you over a hundred. The benefit is the backlinks also come from a variety servers as opposed to the same old ten article directory servers.
The search engines will rank your site much higher if your backlinks come from many places.
You can create a viral marketing campaign by getting in contact with individual bloggers and offering them your product for review. Once you get a number of positive reviews, word will spread and you will have a successful SEO backlink campaign. If you are too lazy to contact individual bloggers there are a number of sites out there where you can pay bloggers to blog about your site.
Always get them to include a backline back to your site though.

10 Rules For Article Marketing

How do you position your website to rank high in search engines? Become a knowledge purveyor by writing and publishing articles. Though article marketing is a raze for improved search engine positions, quality articles are few and far between. Search engines value quality contents to remain competitive in today’s information hungry society. Knowing the following 10 rules will enable you to publish quality articles that feeds information hungry search engines.
1. Use the three Bs rule. Your article should accomplish at least one of the three Bs – espouse bright ideas, explain benefits of former ideas, or details how to bring about functioning ideas. If you are able to accomplish all the three Bs succinctly in one article, than you have truly created a high quality masterpiece.
2. Find your niche – things you are good at and subjects you like to explore. The only goal of writing articles should be to give knowledge to others. Forget about keyword optimizations, keyword research, traffic generation, monetization or what ever you have learnt before. Research your topics and explain it in the simplest way you can. You are successful in achieving your goals if a person with little knowledge in the subject is able to understand and adopt your ideas.
3. To remain on the top of your game, you must continuously generate new ideas to write about your chosen topics. Use an RSS reader to subscribe to half a dozen feeds about subjects you are interested in. Spend an hour in the evening to go through those feed titles and read a few articles and some interesting comments in details. Reading a few articles will keep you up-to-date and enhance your knowledge. Reviewing comments will make you aware of pros and cons of ideas discussed in those articles.
4. There are lots of techniques to generate new ideas. If you perform a Google search, you will come across a dozen or so. Select a few that best suits your personality and environment. Sign up for Google Docs and Spreadsheet and keep your ideas online. Delicious is a online bookmarking site. Post URLs of new ideas you want to explore further in Delicious and tag them using appropriate keywords. The benefit of online storage is that you will have access to your resources from any computer connected to the Internet.
5. Don’t use commercial in your articles and don’t put any links to promote your products. Write for your readers who are human. Don’t write for search engines. Give information for free that benefits your readers.
6. Spell check and review every article after 24 hours of its completion. If you want to be regarded as an expert in your fields by others, don’t publish anything with errors in spelling, punctuation, or grammar. Have someone proof read your article if you are unsure about your grammar skills. Read blog posts at copyblogger and dailywritingtips to improve your writing style and grammar skills.
7. Use a resource box attached to the end of the article. Don’t turn it into a commercial shoutbox. It should be used to reinforce your credibility as an expert author on your chosen topic.
8. Publish in article directories. Search in Google for article directory and pick half a dozen directories to publish your articles regularly.
9. Start a blog and publish your articles in your own blogs without the resource box.
10. Combine related articles to make an e-book with an attention-grabbing title and give it away for free. Contact others and encourage them to give your ebook as bonus items with their paid products
